Hello and welcome

Hello and welcome to my new blog. I remember being a little girl and being taught how to knit at an after school club, but never how to cast on or cast off… Once as I teenager I tried to make a scarf, but could never keep it even along the edges, or cast off, and now looking back I have no idea how I managed to cast on! Somewhere in the back of my mind I must have known how to cast on as I have always been able to do this, but it is only recently that I have learnt how to cast off. Now that I can do knitting seems to be so much more fun, and I can even finish projects and knit in a straight line 🙂 Sadly though, I still can not knit using double pointed needles, or I am yet to try using circular needles, but small steps.

Not only is knitting relaxing and important to me, but it is nice to be able to make something for someone else. In the same way, I love to bake cakes for others, and have a nice chat with friends while eating them. As one of my friends recently gave me, this coaster sums me up pretty well! I hope you all enjoy the knitting posts, but also the other posts. 🙂
